Description:

Starting in Marble Falls, head east from the intersection of US-281 and FM-1431 for 36 miles. FM-1431 is a fun ride with lots of turns as it rolls up and down the hills. At times it is a wider road with “passing lanes” and some it is a tighter 2 lane road. After you pass through Jonestown, you will turn right onto Anderson Mill road (at the 36-mile point). Anderson Mill Rd is not a huge intersection, so you need to look for it. It is after the “Big Oak RV Park” and at the intersection of FM-1431 and Anderson Mill Road is a Texas Department of Transportation office. After turning onto Anderson Mill Rd, go 5 miles to FM-620 (which is a major intersection). Turn right onto FM-620.

As you ride on FM-620, you ride along Lake Travis at points, some areas have heavier traffic and some less. FM-620 is a major road and you stay on it for 12 miles and turn right onto Bee Creek Parkway. Bee Creek Parkway then becomes FM-3238. FM-3238 has some gentle curves and after 7 miles you take a left on FM-12 toward Dripping Springs.

FM-12 rolls through some suburban areas and after 3 miles, you take a right on Fitzhugh Rd. Fitzhugh Rd becomes Pedernales Falls Rd and then becomes Robinson Rd (FM-2766) until it eventually hits US-281 in Johnson City. These three road names are all rural roads that have some curves and roll over the hills. At US-281 turn north (right) back to Marble Falls.

Road Conditions:

All roads on this route are chip-seal and pose no construction challenges, except as noted:
